Mint Lemonade is a kind of drink that can be related directly to summer as it unites the lemon taste and the freshness of mint. This Mint Lemonade recipe is the easiest recipe that I have ever put here on this blog yet very tasty and perfect for a hot day.

Fundamentally, Mint Lemonade fuses the sour-lemony flavor with a sweet background and a twinge of mint. The main components are fresh lemon juice and mint leaves; the combination of these helps to receive a drink once refreshing and filling. Enhancing the taste of the preparation is the addition of lemon juice which is acidic and gives an excellent taste complemented by the sweet, fragrant smell of the mint.

Mint Lemonade on Tabel

The soup Mint Lemonade is very STUD, and you can easily make it less sour or more sour depending on your preferences. If one prefers a sweet beverage, the recipe uses granulated sugar in the preparation of the beverage. Nonetheless, if you’re inclined to use an organic sweetener, you don’t have to look far to substitute honey. Furthermore, to intensify the characteristics of this Mint Lemonade, other ingredients that belong to the group of refreshing products may be added, for example, cucumber.

Glass of Mint Lemonade and Ice Cubes

Well, what will captivate one about this Mint Lemonade recipe is how easy it is to prepare. The preparation process requires the creation of a mint syrup that helps to infuse the beverage with a mint taste. To make the mint syrup, the directions are to dissolve the sugar in water and then chop some mint leaves and steep them in the solution.

This step is important to make sure that the flavor of the mint is well distributed such that, it does not dominate the production. After preparing the syrup, it is mixed with lemon juice which has been freshly squeezed, and cold water. The final creation is a Mint Lemonade that is simply perfect in every way; full-bodied and complex on the tongue.

  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Lemon slices (for garnish, optional)
  • Mint sprigs (for garnish, optional)
  • Optional Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup cucumber slices (for a refreshing twist)
  • 1/4 cup honey (instead of sugar for a natural sweetener)
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Mint:

Wash the mint leaves thoroughly. To release more flavor, gently bruise the leaves with the back of a spoon or a muddler.

  2. Make the Mint Syrup:

In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves completely.

Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir until well combined.

Serve over ice cubes. Garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs, if desired.
